Peggy Gruen
Peggy’s photographs of lush, vibrant flowers and foliage are enhanced through computer manipulation. The sensuous images are a testament to her eye for color and composition. Flowers nearly fill each frame, forcing the abbreviated background to balance the composition.
In some pieces, the imagery moves into the realm of dreams, where black petals become crashing waves and the sun rises from a flower’s heart.
Also on display at Lacuna Gallery are a series of unique parchment lamps, or light sculptures, produced by Peggy and designed by her and her late mother, Elsie Crawford.
